Things are really moving along now, at last. In the next two weeks we will be taking delivery of the enormous beam to allow the living room wall to be knocked through making an extra large area. So if there are any strong men out there, looking for some beam lifting experience, then please let us know.

I've noticed a few thing happening in the vegetable garden which are a bit bizzare. I planted out lots of seeds yesterday. These included Broad and French beans, sweetcorn, spinach, rocket etc.

It’s been a while since I have posted anything but now I’m back and raring to go. Lack of funds has caused an enormous setback and to be honest, there hasn’t really been anything worth writing about. Now that things are beginning to get back on track, I will keep you posted on the developments.

So just an update to keep you all posted. No too much has been going on over the last week or so. Mainly because last weekend I had flu and then not wanting to be left out, Andy decided to break his foot. He did this tackling a falling glass in the kitchen. Alas, the glass is also broken. We think he’s broken one of the small bones on the top, it is getting a bit better now since he’s strapped it up with a crepe bandage, several socks and a large boot.

Brambles, brambles everywhere……. Yes there certainly are, I’ve managed to keep them at bay from the immediate garden area and around the vegetable patch, but in other areas that we haven’t got to yet, they are flourishing.

So, here’s the story so far……
My Fiancé and I moved to Limousin in France around November last year. We bought a large property consisting of 3 houses, a barn, a watermill and 30 acres of land. Originally from Scotland, I had then become a gardener in England before settling on France. Andy, my Fiancé, is originally from South Africa and works as a motorsport journalist.
