It’s been a while since I have posted anything but now I’m back and raring to go. Lack of funds has caused an enormous setback and to be honest, there hasn’t really been anything worth writing about. Now that things are beginning to get back on track, I will keep you posted on the developments.
During the past few weeks I have begun planting in the vegetable garden. So far we have carrots, turnips, radish, peas, lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes (under cover) and many, many potatoes. I also have an array of different seedlings waiting to be pricked out and planted out. All growing in the kitchen at present due to a greenhouse shortage. Not because the greenhouse is full, but because we haven’t actually got one. I have quite a few South African seeds that Andy’s brother Graham brought to me last year and they seem to be much more prolific that the French ones. Not sure what that means really, I’m sure I’ll find out after we’re married! I’ve got a feeling that I may have planted too many seeds. Not being one of these people who throw things away, once the seed has germinated then I’m afraid I will try my damnedest to make it grow into something bigger, no matter what a sorry state it may be in. Even if I have to get the masking tape out to tape up the stem so it can support itself. I currently have approximately 25,000 squashes growing, 3 million lettuces, another 25,000 tomatoes and 16 billion, one hundred and twenty-seven thousand parsley, celery and coriander. And then today, just to add to my space shortage, my seeds I ordered from the UK arrived, most of which should have been planted in April and who now have a small but quaint spot in our new kitchen jungle, of which the photo shows only a small area. It is because of my inability to throw anything away that the need for a greenhouse has become even more apparent this year than last. Oh my God, what’s it going to be like next year? Also, having the biggest vegetable garden in the world doesn’t help. I have to fill it up with something. Hence the "Greenhouse Fund" Please give generously, for the sake of my kitchen if nothing else!

You poor things. I've chucked a few dollars in the pot. Put me down for a plateful of veg when I'm next passing. Good luck.
