This being my first post to my blog, I just want to get one thing straight from the outset..... it wasn't my idea to call this category "Problems & Progress"!
Some of the things you read in this blog might possibly be considered problems for some people, but we prefer to talk in terms of "challenges". However, my sister created the category for me and seems to think the title "Problems & Progress" sounds more catchy than "Challenges & Progress".
So if you have any concerns that we're thinking negatively before we start, we're not.
Anyone with a negative mindset probably would never have given up their comfortable, "normal" life in Kent (the Garden of England) and moved to very basic accommodation in Limousin, France, with the plan being to convert an old, disused French watermill and various outhouses into a fabulous home and desirable gites (holiday homes).
This blog will follow us as we bring our plans to fruition. I hope you enjoy the journey with us.

Gee thank goodness for Angie - now at least the family even know your challenges!! Good luck guys - I'm hoping a business trip will bring me to France soon.
