Great New Venue

I want to tell you about a welcome addition to The Big Blue venue roster, the Alexandra Hotel in the centre of Chatham, Kent.

Landlady and old friend from the Royal Albion, Maidstone, has recently taken over this large venue near Chatham Station.  The bands are booked for Sunday late afternoon slots from 5pm and it seems to have been rather successful in the short time she's been there.

Our first gig there was last Sunday, 17th July, and we had a truly great afternoon.  The acoustics, the atmosphere and the beer (Shepherd Neame real ales) all made for one of our best gigs of the year so far.  We're next back there on 18th December and highly recommend that you put in a few miles to get there.

Enjoying the blog and looking forward to more stories of a gigging band on the road! Ask the missus to put a newsletter signup box on the menu bar on the right, using her shopping cart "custom forms" and then you will have a way of promoting your gigs more proactively - sure it would make you EVEN more popular to venues if you can tell 'em that you have x number of thousand subscribers! Saw the Big Blue for the first time at Nothing but the blues Soho Tues 10Nov. Great evening, Hendrix and Zep among my favourites. You did a great version of Little Wing I requested. I see you gig in Kent, living as I do near Sevenoaks I'll be looking out for more gigs. Bought 'Turn the Page' shame It's so short (missus)
